Urban Innovations

Urban Innovation Competition - Anytown, Ontario.

A Ministry of Environment and Energy sponsored competition to stimulate the design of advanced, sustainable residential dwellings open to Architectural Technology Schools across the province.

The intent was to solicit low-rise, multi-unit residential design which demonstrate and promote advanced levels of energy efficiency, resource conservation strategies and sustainable development practices.

The 'Village Green' proposal was a group effort finishing in second place with outstanding merit in: urban planning, density efficiency, street integration and a first in these competitions, a self-sustaining co-generation mechanical unit.
